According to the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme, 100,000 students enrolled in public institutions and colleges will soon receive free computers based on merit. This announcement was made by Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Youth Affairs.
She explained that "all Ph.D. and post-graduate students would receive computers, and the top undergraduate performance will also be included in the plan."
The SAPM explained the allocation quota, stating that the students' quota in Balochistan has been increased in the laptop programme, while also allocating a quota for students who are disabled and a 50% quota for women.
